What they call site visits

kellye-and-i-at-the-circus.jpgLast week I had to travel to Orlando for next year’s National Sales Meeting to be held in January.  We visited 5 hotels in 3 days, staying at 2 of them.  We had to check the softness of the beds, water pressure, lighting, cleanliness, proximity of sleeping rooms to meeting rooms, friendliness of hotel staff and LOTS of other things.  I went a co-worker and we had such a great time.  We were treated as VIPs, receiving lunches, breakfasts, comp’d room, and gifts.  It was so nice of the hotel staff.  We even managed to get into Universal and Sea World at no charge.  This was a very nice treat.  We were touring the parks to see what options we have to treat our sales force to a fun experience at Disney since we will be in Orlando.  We didn’t really know if we would have time to visit any parks since we were only there for 3 days, however we managed to do a little shopping as well as hit the parks.  The weather was just beautiful and we had great temperatures.  Although, by Friday I was ready to come home.  I was completely worn out.  Those of you that know me know that I try to get to bed at 9pm.  I had been staying up late and I was on Eastern Time so I was a little off on my sleeping.  But overall the trip was GREAT, we had a great time and better yet we think we found the perfect hotel for our meeting next January.  Needless to say those three days I really couldn’t complain about my job.  :)
